Jen's book aren't really about anything specific. She just talks about life. Specifically her life. But she does so with such candor and humor you can't help but to love her. She writes for real people. Real women. Not 100 pound sticks living in the hills who's daddy's buy them everything. She's Jen- the person with the same real problems the rest of us face- in particular in this book her weight and how to lose that weight. You'll get the idea if you watch the video below. But really go read the book- particularly if you're on the elliptical. You won't mind it so much.
Such a Pretty Fat: One Narcissist's Quest to Discover If Her Life Makes Her Ass Look Big; Or, Why Pie Is Not the Answer
OH MY GOD- where has this woman been all my life and why haven't I read her before? It's not like she doesn't have four other successful books and a website and an awesome twitter and an awesome Facebook and and is such a kick in the pants we really could be soul sisters separated at birth. (This is where I feel I should swear I am not stalking her.) Except for the great husband. Oh and being published. Oh and looking good when she works out. Oh and the ability to turn everyday moments into literary genius. Ok, ok geez maybe not sisters but you get the drift.

I started reading another of her books, Bitter is the New Black (I think) Glad you enjoyed it!!
I just discovered her too! A friend asked me to join her at a reading last month. I've since read 3 (finished the 3rd on tonight!) and am very happy I have 2 more to go, but am trying to space them out a tiny bit to savor them.
