Doom with a View

Had some time to kill last night waiting for the spawn to get out of Homecoming so I went to my local crack den (B & N). I swear bookstores and coffee houses have replaced bars as a place for people to hang out on a Saturday night. It was packed.

Was very excited to see the newest Abby the Psychic book was out- now I'm sure that isn't the official title- that's jsut how I think of them. Hmmm, it's been a while, wonder when the newest Abby the psychic book is coming out?

Anyhoo, I love this series- very quick light-hearted fun beach read. I can usually knock one of these out in an hour and feel a nice pleasant happy buzz for a couple of hours afterward.

So plotline: Abby is a psychic. Her gifts occasionally get her in trouble and hi-jinks ensue.

There, done- ok I'll see tomorrow. ........Just kidding.

Doom with a View is Book # 7. You can start with this one and move backwards or you can go back and start at the beginning with Abby Cooper, Psychic Eye. Unlike a certain author I can mention (*cough* Janet Evanovich *cough*) Abby is as fresh with book # 7 as book #1. Don't kill me J.E. fans- I love her but it's time to update the series-it's getting old.

In this one- Abby is working with the FBI- paired with best friend Candice, they try to figure out who is kidnapping college students. Abby is assigned to work with certified skeptic Agent Brice Harrison. Nothing Abby does will convince Harrison she's the real deal. The heat between Candice and Harrison make me wonder...will we see fireworks in later books???? Can't wait for number 8!

These books are just fun. Go read-it's good for you.
