I can't believe I'm going to say this but series is a lot darker than I'm used to from Charlaine Harris. Not darker in terms of paranormal activity which this series has none of but darker in content.
Number Five (not that it matters because I haven't read 1-4) of the Lily Bard mystery series.
Lily, resident of small town Shakespeare, Arkansas, is forced to join a local support group when she accidentally tries to strangle her new husband int he middle of the night. As a victim of rape, Lily hopes the group headed by Tamsin Lynd, a professional counselor will help her deal with some of her issues. But Tamsin has issues of her own. She is being terrorized by a stalker. When the stalking escalates into murder Lily, now a professional detective puts her but on the line.
Good solid ending- perfect amount of mystery and suspense. Plus Lily is a strong main character.

The first book in this series was the first book of hers that I have read. And I have to say, and I will probablly be on my own on this, I love this series far more than the Sookie Stackhouse series.
